The Ukraine.

Civil war in the Ukraine or "Ukraine". Poor Obama must be beside himself in his frozen isolation from the fruits of leadership experience. What to do.....what to do.
Syria's a mess, ISIS marches nearly unopposed across Iraq, the whole region from the Indian frontier with Pakistan to the Atlantic shores of North Africa are seething it seems or are at least ripe for radical Islamic development.
And then there is the Ukraine. And what can America do about it? Perhaps learn a bit more about the history of it before jumping in eyes closed.
Should Americans really get involved in yet another very messy civil conflict we honestly know so little about?
Nope probably not a good idea.
Lets see, transport troops and material ten thousand miles to keep the Russians in Russia and the Russians in the Crimea and the Ukrainians in the Ukraine and the Russians in the Ukraine from all mutually destroying each other.
How on earth are we going to tell them apart? Honestly. They've been inter-marrying for over one thousand years. Rare is the family over there that is NOT mixed somehow. The issues are deep.
Some of the worst atrocities committed against Jews during the last war came at the hands of Ukrainian camp guards. The forced collectivization of the 1920's caused directly the death of millions. Many Ukrainians were unabashedly pro-Nazi. Still others were ardent communists and had no problem sending millions of others off to die in the Gulag's. And now old wounds are reopened. Almost a familiar formula being used here, similar to the Balkans and the former Yugoslavia. The world, the "west" has decided that your country is too big so it's going to be downsized.
And what of the logistics? No doubt the Russians are going to fight like absolute insane men to protect their homes. How hard are WE going to have to fight to dislodge those people off their very own lands?
Their fighter cover will be ready within seconds or a few minutes all bombed up and gunned up. Our aircraft will have to fly to the combat area, possibly hours. Any country that houses US/ Western troops will find itself a legitimate target under the rules of war. What guarantees (That have any chance of being taken seriously) will convince the EU, the West that the US is ready to act?

America has surrendered.

White Flags Over America

   O.K. So we've surrendered, that is the gist of it we are waving the white flag. But to whom?

Look at those flags again. You know the ones I'm talking about, put up early in the morning and taken down just before lunch and all just the other day. The two very large bleached white U.S. flags were found flying over the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. All sorts of talk about it. There are some funny things about those flags and how they got there.

   One. They're not just "white" flags. They are BLEACHED American flags. You can tell this in the photos. The stripes and stars and the once blue field are all bleached out but in the sun you can see that they are there, the way the light reflects of the bias of the fabric. Clearly someone had to plan this out, they did not just run up there on a whim. They did not use some other flag. No Fag-Flag "rainbow" (which it isn't) no "Don't Tread on Me" no "Tea Party" flag no communist hammer and sickle no fascist swastika but a faded out soulless colorless American flag a surrender flag a flag of abject fucking capitulation. 

   Two. They picked flags that look new are the same size and they were bleached or even "made" to be the same in nearly every respect. Who ever put them up there had help had a plan and knew what they were doing. They had help. I'd bet it was at least 10 guys, perhaps more, but likely less than 20 all told.

   Three. They used cheap aluminum turkey pans to cover the lights. How did they know what size pan to use? Just a really good guess? They put the pans over the lights quietly, no noisy messy duct tape etc. They knew how many pans they would need. The carried them up there, in packs I'm thinking, along with the flags. These guys and it was probably all or mostly men, young-ish men who pulled this off, these dudes knew exactly what they were doing. They knew how to climb. They were not afraid of heights or of getting caught. They for sure had help in the form of lookouts with binoculars and walki-talkies probably at strategic locations on or about the bridge keeping the climbing teams apprised of the situation as the "assault team" focused on their task. They clearly have great familiarity with the bridge, bridges in general. They probably, if they are as good as they appear, had LAYERS of security.

   These guys knew how to handle ropes, get around obstacles and how to circumvent security measures.

   And the message. Political? Sort of.....or totally. But they were not just mere pranksters (well perhaps). They made a TOTALLY political statement but in a way that is not clearly attributable to any party or group. They again, did not put up a "gay" ie pro-homosexual flag nor did they put up a Tea-party type flag. But it is clear that they think that we've surrendered. Surrendered to whatever but for sure surrendered.
