So very very strange....

We are living in the strangest of times.

Why has the Liberal-Progressive-Humanist socially responsible and environmentally conscious and politically correct democratic "West" begun to fail so miserably at leadership? What good are the institutions that help define us when we work tirelessly to denigrate belittle and outright destroy those institutions?
Why has Barack Hussein Obama, the erstwhile President of the United States, the most powerful man on the planet, the leader of the free world has so completely abrogated his position? Why must we be set up to fail and sink? Does it really do any good for anyone to have the world stand in flame. B.H.(0) has surrendered to his ideology and the few clingers on. He want's us to stay out only to wait in fear for it to arrive at home. He has surrendered us and thereby our entire country to the back of the pack so that we may not recover in our lifetimes.

WHY? TO WHAT POSSIBLE PURPOSE???

The Ukraine....or just "Ukraine"....

More thoughts on "The" Ukraine.

What fool on the Russian side gave these guys, these "rebels" AAA? (Anti-aircraft Artillery). I dunno but it was the bad idea that backfired big-time. There was some documentary on the tube the other day.....Frontline perhaps not sure but they were going over the mess in the Ukraine. There were a number of really startling scenes, images. One was of the public walking down the street in an Eastern Ukrainian town after government troops had shelled the city (Which was called a "separatist" stronghold) and the civilians and even the fighters were shockingly cavalier and even blase about the bodies laying about. There must have been ten or fifteen bodies, corpses. They just walked past them, stepped over them, pushed them aside as if they were just a very inconvenient sack of dirt. There was NONE of that classic Russian (and even Ukrainian) outpouring of soulful grief, thousands of flower bouquets laid on the bloody pavements...zero, none of it. Perhaps they'd not got round to it quite yet but I suspect something different. I suspect the old callousness of survivors who have just been through too much. I think it was the "shit, well, not me" and it's always "You today....Me tomorrow" mentality. Today it was you.....I live on and can't fret about it too much. The dead are dead and my agony will not bring them back. And then there is the airliner shot from the sky, Dutch bodies still strapped in their seats, dead in a vast Ukrainian wheat field. The very best in dumb mistakes. The bad PR can hardly resist but to flow freely now. If the Russians keep doing stupid shit like this the mind of the few in the West that still think will be made up, no wiggle room for honest assessment of the facts or legitimacy of complaints or what have you. The stupid kids slithering along on Main-street U.S.A., faces jammed into the latest "app", the tattooed freaks that find themselves more wound up about "gay-marriage" or legalizing pot will sober up just enough to form solid anti-Russian attitudes. How can they help themselves but to arrive at that conclusion? Drafted in a jiffy.
Then, there were the interviews with the leaders. Most had an almost unbelievable lack of decorum. They had a lack of awareness of perceptions (Particularly to Western viewers) but displayed a machismo "shtick" that was so stunningly obvious and stupid I really wanted to believe that the whole thing was some sort of demented put-on, a gigantic macabre play designed to infuriate. To be sure, one leader, from a distinct and different Russian separatist group was in a suit and tie. This man sat at a nice clean desk, plain and simple even humble but yet powerful background. He spoke, calmly and with civility and made good eye-contact with the reporter. This leader sat and listened and kept his hands folded inside one another resting them on the desk. He "looked" like a leader. Sure, a low-level pretender but at least he made some attempt to beguile and smooch with the press.  Then...then there was the idiot. This dude was head to toe in a camouflage uniform. He was wearing officers belts with all sorts of manly accessories. That was clearly a bad choice for a "meet and greet" with western media organs notorious for massaging even the most mundane and nuanced facts into complete opposites. But this guy, he made it "too easy". He handed them goof-ball press-boys all the ammunition they could ever want. He gave them a gem of an opportunity to make every Russian separatist (Regardless of how legitimate their grievance against EU/NATO and the junta in Kiev) look like a complete murderous idiot. To make matters worse this jack-ass had a pistol, a Stetchkin or a Makarov, or some other deadly little piece and he was just playing with it on the highly polished surface of the table. He was just spinning it this way and that, like he was too macho to be disturbed with mealymouthed reporters' probing questions and he fiddled with his weapon to pass the time. This guy, some self-proclaimed "general" or "colonel" played with that damn thing all throughout the interview hardly stopping even one time. Little to no work there eh? The guy's a loose cannon, obviously!. Moscow stupidly gave these retards all the rope they need. And I thought only the West could be so dumb.

Well, you elect a street-level douche-bag and look what you get......Mr. Peace-Prize......

American Logistics: Possible Ukrainian Scenarios.

How are we going to support an effort in the Ukraine?
First off our supply lines could not be longer. Long supply lines are full of risk. The enemy (The Russians ostensibly) will take every opportunity to curtail American supplies reaching the Ukrainians or any force fighting along side them. We would need bases forward. What EU ("European") country in Western or Central Europe will allow US forces to be staged there as US forces prepare to attack Russia or defend the Ukraine? This would open those host countries up to attack. To attack the enemies supplies and bases is a completely legitimate act according to the Laws of War. Such an attack would almost certainly drag that host country into the fray. When things start to go wrong will the US guarantee the host countries sovereignty in the face of Russian retaliation? No, really now. How the fuck will the United States prevent the Russians from launching a perfectly legitimate attack upon a US forward base located in Poland or Estonia or Hungary? This all really sounds like the ingredients to World War Three.

Where is the shipping and who will man them even if they were there?
Our merchant fleet is pathetic. Only MSC (Military Sealift Command) is there to carry meager supplies. Any enemy with a brain and a submarine fleet will do all in his power to sink those ships. What then? Contract with the Chinese to haul our supplies? During Gulf War One numerous ships in the RRF (Ready Reserve Fleet) were far FAR from ready. Some had to be towed, they could not make it. Contract ships lost their nerve the closer they got to Kuwait and some refused to proceed.

We're all connected: Globalization is far more Globalized than any may realize....and has been so for much longer than any of us realize.
Many EU countries receive power oil natural gas and even electricity from Russia. These EU countries may consider (Even still) the Russians to backward boorish brutes at best and bloodthirsty murdering Cossacks at worst. But when some dude in the Hague flips his light switch he wants light to come from the bulb. at that moment he's not thinking "now were exactly does this power come from?" Honestly it's all from the "grid". American gasoline from the pump down the street from here, now where exactly did that particular batch of gas-o-line come from? Our gas does not necessarily come from US refineries along US pipelines from US ships from US companies and US labs and even from US wells. All the oil that ends up in the market.
